265 acres of prime real estate in a once-marginalized neighborhood in southwest Denver is set for multi-billion dollars worth of development, creating a virtually new city. Several planned projects will bring thousands of residences, offices, and shops to Denver District 3, including the Auraria, Sun Valley, and West Colfax neighborhoods. With this significant development, the city must take a holistic approach to infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and public services. The developments along the Platte River will be connected to the central business district through light rail and pedestrian walkways, enhancing the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.
