Axios Austin: Texas-sized chip investment

President Biden announced $6.4 billion in grants to Samsung for expanding chip production in Austin, Texas. This investment is part of a larger effort to reduce dependence on China and Taiwan for semiconductors. The agreement will result in over $40 billion in investment from Samsung, creating at least 21,500 jobs and enhancing local workforce development. The expansion includes existing Austin sites, of which, the Austin project is just 2 miles away from.
